ROLE: DIRECTOR/ WRITING CD
Comedy Central brought me in to CD a project for the launch of a late night show with Charlemagne the God. Charlemagne is most known for his honest and unforgiving takes on his morning radio show “The Breakfast Club”.
We wanted to make sure his show reflected his connection to the street and the overlapping, difficult and nuanced conversations he would have. This was done by creating a texture of layered stories in everything we did visually and written.
RESULT:
The show was launched with amazing numbers. It exploded on the infamous "black twitter" Social conversation around him and his growth surged and eventually culminated into one of the greatest snapback soundbites by Kamala Harris herself. Surprised? We told you in the promos.
