ROLE: WRITER
IFC was launching a new niche comedy based on a fake show that lived somewhere between American Bandstand and Soul Train. They wanted to highlight the show's host as a driver to show the vibe of the show. I decided to write different scripts to dive into the era of the show and the host's avant guard personality.
RESULT:
The show was launched with great hype through the writing press and gave some of the higher ratings to bring a new, more diverse audience to IFC. They are also launching a show special this summer.
